Leidseplein (Leidse Square)
Leidseplein is a main venue in Amsterdam for going out with cafes, bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants.
Leidseplein is about 3km from Central Station.
Rembrandtplein, another nightlife area in Amsterdam, is within 20 minutes walking. The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Vondelpark are all within 10 minutes walking. The Holland Casino is around the corner, 300 meters away.
The tram is the most convenient way to travel around through Amsterdam Center. Several trams have a stop at Leidseplein. It takes 5 minutes to Rembrandtplein and 12 minutes to Central Station. From Central Station it is 20 minutes by train to the Amsterdam airport. At night (00.00-05.30), the train is running every hour.
